Trang is my girl! You think it, she’ll do it. All of those super crazy, sassy, 3D, gianormous designs, she’ll do them. I start describing something to her, a little bit of this, a dash of that… and she’s totally got it. Loving it… I get compliments all the time. Her prices are really reasonable for San Francisco too.
Minus one star because sometimes she overbooks (trying to please everybody) and is in a rush. So some poor attention to detail, aka, cuticles/edges. But still, totally worth it and I have always had a good experience here.
This is not a high-end salon btw. You get the service you want, but not all of that champagne treatment. If you want to sip sparkling cider and rose petals this is not the place.

I see a lot of complaints about the service and job at Crystal Nails and I have never experienced any of that. Either these customers are very picky or delusional cause I’ve been to Crystal numerous times (to the point they recognize me and remember what I do). Each time I have gone I have received the same excellent treatment and friendliness. I was just here for a pedicure on Saturday when there was a sudden down pour. One of the manicurists walked a customer to her car because she had no umbrella. Both Trang and another manicurist fed another customer’s meter while she was getting her nails done. On another note, I think it’s funny that people automatically assume they’re getting talked about just because they don’t understand the language. Girl please, you ain’t all that !

You should call for an appointment first if your interested to do Trang’s Japanese Nail 3D Art. And if your looking for more of a Hello Kitty design, make sure to ask if she has some available.
I called Friday to make an appointment for Monday at 11:30 AM. Came on that day, and met Trang for the first time. She showed me her book full of designs and they were all cute. Told her what I wanted, she took her time on my nails, and was patient with me picking which design I wanted/where to put on my nails.
The price is not that bad, $65 and plus tip. Other places would charge ALOT. Trang gets her nail art designs ( meaning her lil beads, hello kitty, ribbons, rhinestones and etc.) from Japan. Trang’s very friendly and attentive, she kept reminding my friend to watch out for the DPT guy since we were parking by the meter which was sweet of her.
Now I have found my official nail shop to go to. Pics are up also (:

my overall experience… pretty good. She took me right away even tho i was early, gave me a bunch of nail trinkets to pick out from… shades of glitter to paint my nails with.. and she kept it real with me. She told me what works out and what she can do. I showed her an example from a japanese nail mag (which she had plenty of herself) of course she could only do with what she had to work with. might i say she had alot to work with!! i watched her as she went through her drawers of jewels, pearls, trinkets, gems and whatnots…
What i liked the most was that she didnt charge me for a two color glitter fade on my nail… she pushed my cuticles even though i dont like it, most nail salons i’ve been to dont bother to do so bc thats classified as part of a manicure and not a refill, and are usually charged more for any of that. she didnt rush and she was nice.
dislikes.. she works with alot of nail gel, so after awhile my hands felt sticky and grimey (ewwww i know!) and her uv nail dryer was pretty small so it was kinda difficult getting that stage done and over with. like i said she works with alot of gel, so alot of drying has to be done. and at times she would talk on the phone…. im not really a fan of that. as a customer its koo depending on the situation but as a professional, its a no no. and my major dislike… the places just seemed a little dirty.. i noticed the other lady was sweeping alot of brown dirt off the floor..
her pricing system.. helll if i know. sorry. i was just so excited to get it done, plus my bf said it would be his anniversary gift to me she charged me 60 flat! thats twice as more than my usual fill and 10 finger designs… but keep in mind… these trinkets DONT COME off, they arent glued on, they are secured with a gel glaze, and yea.. there twice as stuntastic!!!

Lately, I’ve been really intrigued by 3d nail art, especially with Hello Kitty designs. I read the reviews here and looked at all the pictures, and it looked so cute! I HAD to make an appointment with Trang.
I came here on a Saturday afternoon and looked through the photo album of nail designs. I really wanted a design with Hello Kitty art on it, but Trang told me that she just ran out of the Hello Kitty 3d art. She had a couple different Hello Kitty 3d art left, so she used those on me. She was very nice and recommended me colors that would look nice on my nails. Trang is a genius at creating designs on nails! I would definitely come back here to get my nails done, just not all the time. I feel really handicapped with fake nails on
If you want Hello Kitty 3d nails, call in first and ask Trang if she has any Hello Kitty art left because it runs out very fast. I have gotten a lot of compliments on my nails which was really nice
$60 for gel nails with designs.

I got awesome awesome awesome 3D nail art from Trang. I almost don’t want to leave her a positive review for fear that she’ll get too busy to do *my* nails. Haha! But srsly… she is amazing! People stop me in the street to check out my nails. That’s actually the only downside–I’m so grossed out when strangers touch my hands!! Why do they think that’s ok!? I’m too nice to say, “Don’t touch me!”
3D art seems expensive compared to plain gel nails but Trang’s prices are way less compared with nail salons in Asia. One woman I randomly met (who touched my hand, lol) said that in Hong Kong, nails like mine cost twice as much as what I paid Trang!

I’ve been here numerous of times and I always go see Trang. I never ever let her workers touch my nails for fear of messing up with them.. anyway, I always get the whole crazy 3D shabang nails. Seriously, it’s like all hello kitty, bows, glitter, etc. The price is not bad.. $65-70 depending on how much tips you give her. (I always give her $10 because she does such a great job with my nails!)
I recommend coming here if you’re looking to step away from the classic french white tip nail or manicure. Definitely a place to go to if you’re going to a party or a rave. I didn’t give this place 5 stars because I felt like some of the nail supplies she used wasn’t quite clean. But you know you can always bring your own nail supply for her to use too if you’re germophobic

After reading all the reviews and seeing the pictures, decided to make an appointment with Trang. I really love the design she decided for me, and it turned out great! I usually don’t really like having fake nails but since it was for a wedding, I decided it might be worth it.
Spent $60 including tip and I was quite happy with the results so I guess I will say it is worth it. I didn’t have cash on me so she charge a few extra dollars for that which equals to me taking a few extra dollars
Took around a hour and a half so it wasn’t too bad.

I love Crystal Nails. First time getting my nails done here and Trang is amazing at doing 3d nail art. So far she got my 5 stars =) I would mosdef come back again. Plus she is reasonable at her prices. I got the 3d nail art, with rhinestones, bows, & roses, with Glitter tips, all for the price of $57, which is not too bad. I’ve heard there are places that are charging more, then what they should have.
Just remember, always book ur appointment in advance. Trang does get booked really fast.

So i had heard really good reviews about this place by a friend of mine and also by reading all the good feedback on yelp..so i decided to take a chance and get the 3D Japanese nail art done i called and set up an appointment (witch i recommend to do cause she can get busy) with Trang and i agree shes awesome super friendly and accommodating she did the design i had picked and added her special touch to it. she has a variety of nail decor from hello, candy shaped, to jewelry looking ones there awesome. The only thing is that after 2 days one of the ring stone fell off i was a bit disappointed cause i surely though they were gonna last 3 weeks i called her to ask if she could fix it for me and sure enough i went in took me right away fixed it and added a bit more gel and wallah! just like new i think i have found my new favorite spot to get my nails done thanks Trang your the best!

So far, this is the only place I know that does the super embellished nail designs. I love it because they have a large collection of magazines and catalogs from where you can pick out a design for the nail technician to recreate.
I’m very finicky when it comes to details in hair, nails, and makeup…so I was a bit nervous when the technician was putting on rhinestones and lace tape super fast. To me, each nail in the picture I selected looked like a work of fine art, so I expected meticulous placement of each embellishment. However, she did an alright job. It wasn’t as perfect as I would have liked it, but like I said, I’m a bit anal-retentive.
Price after tip–like $60. Picture posted. I’d go back again whenever I have that much to blow and feel like rocking classy-hood-rat nails for 3 weeks again.

If you are searching for Japanese 3D Nail Art here is the place to GO!!! Trang is the best! Her work it great! You have to make your appointment a day in advance and I see why because Trang gets pretty backed up. For a full set of gel nails and massive decorations on each nail cost $60 bucks which is a bargain because in LA 3D Japanese nail art can cost your anywhere from $80-$90 dollars!
Trang is a doll and she makes you fell right at home and at ease. Will definitely be coming back!

Made an appointment with Trang after reading all these reviews on how fast she gets booked up. Went in yesterday early morning and got a full gel set for $50 + $5 gems = $55, which is reasonable since where I usually go charges $45 for a full get set without gems. Trang really spent alot of time with me, roughly an hour and a half. I can’t say it’s the most perfect job just because there’s some missed areas where she should of gel/painted a second coat and my nails are a bit on the thicker side..I had my nails painted all black with gel on top with a design of silver glitter and each finger have 5-6 gems ^^ Picture posted. Overall she did a wonderful job,but not the best i’ve experinced.

Listen up men!
If you want chicks to think you are manly, self-assured and comfortable with your sexuality, go get yourself a pedicure and don’t be afraid to buy a box of tampons for a lady. She might just thank you by not asking you if she looks fat and you will be more likely to receive a foot massage.
This nail salon has these really big cool motorized massage chairs with 7 cylinders and turbo boosters. They can go from zero to 60 in less than three seconds. The chair has a hydraulic water tub with a heavy duty jet stream propelling system and your feet will be sanded, buffed and air blasted dry.
And they offer electric blue nail polish! Or clear. Whatever. You can also watch porn and drink beer and the women giving the pedicures wear hooters shirts and hot pants.
Ok, NO, but what a fucking concept!!

I first heard about this place from my friend Annie. Her nails looked so good I knew I had to try it out. I love it! This nail shop can get super busy so make sure you make appointments especially when you want a get set with nail art on it.
Trang is the best gel set nail art lady there is! You can see she concentrates so much on making sure your nails look good and she is just awesome at what she does. (picture above) Gel nails are way more natural looking and healthier for you! It is more expensive though.. Depending on what kind of design you get, prices can range from around $50. I got mine for $53 with $10 tips = $63!
I made sure to make an appointment before July 4th to get my nails all pretty again!

I refuse to listen to these people who give negative comments about Crystal Nails…..
First of all…. Trang is VERY popular… that’s why people NEED to make APPOINTMENTS to see her….
The way she does nails might not be perfect, but note that she’s a VERY busy person, and shouldn’t feel rushed….
I LOOOVE Trang… She’s the best in the city when it comes to designs…. you can let her know what you want and will do it! I love her products! Her gel feels light and real…. She will take good care of your nails…..
I guess you just have to be a REGULAR to have the VIP status!! LOL
ALSO, I just wanted to make sure everyone knows…
People were mistaken that Trang owns 2 stores… Trang owns 1 company which is Crystal Nails on Clement between 24th & 25th… She’s NOT on Noriega!!!

Trang is a master!
I came here with my friend Angie who’s nails I was in love with as she had mermaid nails… blue and green and SPARKLY
i wanted to get them too!
So I came here on a weekday with 2 other girls. We had made appointments in advance, but we had a misunderstanding in which they thought we had booked for only 1 girl instead of the reality of 3. No worries, Trang fit us all in and was a pro going back and forth with all 3 of us. It was my first time getting my nails done in the cal-gel style. Trang has every sort of glitter, sequin, etc possible I swear. In every FREAKIN color. It was very helpful in the fact that she had a huge collection of Japanese nail magazines to help give you ideas about what design you might choose. I ended up paying 50 bucks, but I had a party going on my nails. purple glitter as french tips and each finger with a different design. one had 2 hearts to appear as a bow, another had a heart with an arrow, my thumb had a big heart surrounded in little sequins, etc so it was definitely alot of precision and skill from the hands of Trang. I got so many compliments on my nails, and it made me happy just to look at my nails. I’m not even one of those girls that gets their nails done on a daily but I would definitely come back to Crystal Nail!

I really can say WOO HOO! As good as it gets!
Went back for a fill, new design. LOVE IT! I think my nails lasted me 3 1/2 weeks without peeling off, lifting, etc..
And i’m ROUGH with my nails. I once broke ALL the tips of my nails–LOL don’t ask how. ok–I fell when we were clubbing. hahaha!
Previous weekend was soaking in the hot tub ALL weekend long!
These REAL GEL NAILS will last you a long time.
Yes-a bit moola than the acrylics with Gel coating. But—would you rather pay a bit more to have your nails looking SWEET or pay less and have to have it filled every 2 weeks? Your choice!
I DO have to admit that the pic of the nails are nasty.. it’s cus the person “decided” to get all that crap on there. Let me tell you… less is more! But hey, whatever floats your boat!

May is one of the best for waxing. She is new to this salon but I am a long-time customer of hers from Jolie Nails. She is thorough, attentive and very pleasant!
I’ve been to this nail salon twice and have had great experiences. Trang & Cuong are great at what they do – you will not leave disappointed! My nails always come out straight (the way I like ‘em) and my cuticles are trimmed just perfectly (read – I’ve never bled here)!
Also, the facilities are bright, the tools are clean and kept up to standards, and they have a great selection of colors.
They don’t make you feel rushed to get out of there even though it’s passed closing time. Also, I’ve come to love this place because I’ve gone to its competitor down the street, Crystal Nail, and yeah, they have the free baby water bottles (which you don’t always get)
